PROVIDENCE HISTORY

  Providence College for Women (Autonomous), Coonoor PG and Research Department of History & Women’s Studies Centre Women Protection -23/08/2024   PG & Research Department of History, under the Women’s Studies Centre, organized an awareness programme for the students of History Department and various department students on 23/08/2024 in the seminar hall. Mrs.Rajammal,SSI and Mrs.Devika from Women Police Station Coonoor delivered a speech on the topic   of   Good Behaviours, Characteristics,   Women protection,   Kavalan App ,Teenage Pregnancy, and Hazards of putting pictures in social media. Around 80 students from various departments participated and benefited.

  Providence College for Women(Autonomous), Coonoor PG &   Research Department of History    & Women’s Studies Centre   Adolescence Programme Name of the event : Extension (Adolescence Awareness Programme) Date : 19/03/2024 Venue : St.Mary’s School , Kothagiri Target group :  Age group of 13 - 17 Objective : To create health awareness among adolescence. About the event : PG & Research Department of History arranged an extension programme on 19-07-2024 with  FPAI, CIHDSA, Psychiatric department from Government Lawley Hospital, staff and III BA students from our department went to St.Mary’s School, Kothagiri. The students supported and encouraged the school students to discuss their problems in day today life and guided them to overcome the issues. Outcome : Students were enriched with healthy attitudes and responsible behaviour towards process of growing up.
