Commemoration of World Tourism Day : 27-09-2024

  PG & RESEARCH DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY 2024-2025                              Commemoration of World Tourism Day : 27-09-2024      PG & Research Department of History arranged an awareness programme on 27-09-2024, staff and students from our department went to Railway station, Ooty & Boat House Ooty. Students welcomed the tourists in Railway station in Ooty and gave awareness on plastic free Nilgiris and importance of peaceful tourism. Then students participated in cultural programmes conducted in Boat House, Ooty. It emphasizes responsible travel practices, respect for local cultures and environmental sustainability.

Extension (Awareness on Women Empowerment and Schemes)

  PG & RESEARCH DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY 2024-2025      EXTENSION : 28-06-2024    Name of the event : Extension (Awareness on Women Empowerment and Schemes) Date : 28/06/2024 Venue : St.Mary’s School , Kothagiri Target group :   Age group of 16-17 Objective : To create awareness among students about women empowerment schemes. About the event : PG & Research Department of History arranged an extension programme on 28-06-2024, staff and III BA students from our department went to St.Mary’s School, Kothagiri. Mr.Prakash and Mr.Kumar, Co-ordinators gave awareness on various scholarships for girl children like single parent child scheme, Pudumai Pen Scheme, two girl children scheme etc., Outcome : Students were cleared their doubts and it became very useful to students.

Awareness on peaceful tourism

The event was a testament to the student’s creativity, and dedication to the nation.
