Veterinary Health Camp at Bellattimattam

The PG & Research Department of History and the PG & Research Department of Commerce of Providence College for Women (Autonomous), Coonoor, organized a Veterinary Health Camp at Bellattimuttom under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) initiative. The camp aimed to promote animal health awareness among rural farmers and provide essential veterinary services for their livestock.Resource Person  Dr. S. Balamurugan (B.V.Sc & A.H, PGDAW), Veterinary Assistant Surgeon from the Veterinary Dispensary, Athigaratty, led the session.

 

Survey on Cattle Population: On 28/02/2025, staff and students conducted a house-to-house survey to collect data on the various types of cattle owned by villagers. This survey helped assess livestock distribution, common health issues, and the need for veterinary support in the area  and Veterinary Health Camp at Bellattimattam  on 01/03/2025, nearly 20 families actively participated in the camp, bringing their cattle for health check-ups and benefiting from the veterinary services.
