The PG and Research Department of History organized an Alumni Talk on the topic *“Career Opportunities in History”* — 26‑06‑2025.
“Alumni Talk on Career Opportunities in History” on 26 June 2025. The session aimed to provide students with insights into diverse career paths available in the field of history and to inspire them through real‑life experiences shared by alumni. The resource persons for the session were distinguished alumni, Ms. Farshana Iqfathul and Ms. Nava Bayaraj Bharathi. Both speakers are successfully brought valuable perspectives to the discussion. Ms. Farshana Iqfathul & Ms. Nava Bayaraj Bharathi spoke about the wide range of career opportunities available for history graduates including teaching, research, archaeology, civil services, journalism, and heritage management. She emphasized the importance of developing research skills, critical thinking, and effective communication to excel in these areas. They motivated students to explore interdisciplinary opportunities and to make use of internships, workshops, and competitive exams to enhance their career prospects.
